German delegation to take part in Central Russian Economic Forum
A presentation of the social and economic potential of Kursk region was held at the Embassy of Germany to the Russian Federation, KURSK weekly informed.
As part of this event, Kursk region governor Alexander Mikhailov Mihajlova met Rьdiger von Fritsch, the Germany's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Russian Federation. In particular, the governor spoke about the projects to be implemented in Kursk region to which German companies are welcome to contribute, as well as investor assistance efforts in the region.
He emphasized that Kursk region had close trade, economic and cultural ties with Germany. For nine months of 2014, Kursk region's trade turnover with Germany increased 2.6 times to $53 million, more than 10% of the region's total foreign trade turnover with non-CIS countries.
The governor invited the German business community to take part in the next Central Russian Economic Forum due this summer.
