Public private partnership to be discussed at Central Russian Economic Forum
The expert council "Public private partnership in infrastructure projects in Central Russia" will take place with the assistance of Russia's Chamber of Commerce and Industry as one of the 4th Central Russian Economic Forum events on June 11-13, 2015 in Kursk.
During the council experts will discuss the role of PPP in the modernization of infrastructure facilities and the social environment development in the context of budget gaps, estimate the federal and regional regulatory framework concerning the PPP, to review the achievements and objectives in this respect and to assess unification prospects.
Among other matters, the council will address subsidies to regional projects from the federal budget, the practical implementation of various infrastructure projects involving PPP mechanisms in Central Russia and the investment appeal of PPP-based projects.
Requirements to private businesses as potential concessionaries and a rating of Central Russia's regions in terms of the PPP maturity are expected to be presented at the council.
The Central Russian Economic Forum has been conducted in Kursk every year since 2012. Its hosts are the government of Kursk region, the Investment Attraction Agency of Kursk region, and AK&M Information Agency. Over its short history, the Central Russian Economic Forum has become a pivotal event in the economic and political life of Central Russia's regions. The Forum highlights the topical issues of the region's development and contributes to the basic trends of the future economic policy. The forum clearly and explicitly demonstrates the interest of the government bodies and the key business decision-makers in the development of the regional economy, outlines the investment conditions, preferences and requirements. The Forum will traditionally benefit from the participation and support of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Central Federal District, Russia's Ministry of Economic Development, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Agency for Strategic Initiatives.
