Welcome address of Russia’s Minister of Economic Development Alexey Ulyukaev to the participants of the Central Russian Economic Forum

Dear participants of the 5th Central Russian Economic Forum, it is my pleasure to welcome you!

The Central Russian Economic Forum gains more and more weight and public recognition owing, among other things, to an extensive program of events featuring heads of regional governments and representatives of federal ministries, political parties, non-governmental associations and the business community.

The Forum provides opportunities for a meaningful discussion of topical economic development issues and for addressing the problems the contemporary world has to deal with.

The main theme of the 5th Central Russian Economic Forum concerns the economy of the future. The key discussion points include investment in the human capital, stimulation of innovations, strengthening of institutions and upgrade of infrastructure, development of small and medium-sized businesses, search of resources to ensure further economic growth.

I am hopeful that the Forum will again prove to be an effective venue for a constructive dialogue between the leading economists and experts, prominent representatives of the business community.
