Krasnoyarsk Krai, Kursk region sign plan of action to develop cooperation for 2016-2018
During the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum 2016 the document was signed by Alexander Krivolapov, Deputy Governor of Kursk region, and Viktor Zubarev, Deputy Chairman of the government of Krasnoyarsk Krai.
The plan follows up the agreement on cooperation in trade, economy, science, technology and culture concluded between Kursk region and Krasnoyarsk Krai by the Governors of these regions on October 3, 2015. The plan reflects the top priorities of interaction between the two federal subjects of Russia and aims to boost mutual supplies of agricultural goods, products of the food and food processing industry, to increase energy efficiency and to extend the practice of implementing energy saving projects.
The regions will assist each other in the arrangement of round tables, meetings and other events in the spheres of trade, economy, science, and culture.
“Krasnoyarsk region is consistently developing relations with other Russian regions, including those located in the European part of Russia. We have a lot of common with Kursk region in the economic structure, with mature mining industry, mechanical engineering industry and agriculture. Our turnover currently reaches several hundred million rubles and can be expanded to billions,” Viktor Zubarev commented.
Alexander Krivolapov emphasized his confidence of the high efficiency of cooperation between Kursk region and Krasnoyarsk Krai. “There is room for improvement in almost all aspects of interaction,” he said adding that Kursk region’s trade turnover with Krasnoyarsk Krai amounted to RUB 300 million in 2014 (exports from Kursk region reached RUB 197 million, imports to Kursk region totaled RUB 101 million).
In particular, our region supplies a wide range of food, industrial and medical products to Krasnoyarsk Krai.
A number of Kursk-based enterprises such as CJSC Konti-Rus, Belaya Pritsa-Kursk LLC, JSC Kursk Factory Mayak, Aviaavtomatika named after V. Tarasov JSC, Lgov Sugar Plant JSC JSC, Stelcy LLC, Spektr-Pribor Household Electrical Appliances Factory Ltd., etc.
Kursk region imports a number of food products and synthetic rubbers from Krasnoyarsk Krai.
Given the high industrial potential of our regions, we are convinced of the high efficiency of development cooperation efforts and of opportunities to substantially increase our turnover.
Alexander Krivolapov invited a delegation of Krasnoyarsk Krai to visit the 5th Central Russian Economic Forum which will take place in Kursk in early July.
