Kursk region to invest over 400 Million Rub. in SME development till 2015

Kursk region starts implementing a new long-term target support program for small and middle-sized enterprises, the amount of financing exceeding 400 Million Rub., according to a statement made by the information support management of Kursk region’s Information and Press Committee.
The program will be implemented till 2015. One of the key actions to support enterprises engaged in production modernization and innovative development is the support of innovative start-ups established with the assistance of higher educational institutions. The maximum amount of grant to this effect is 0.5 Million Rub.
Besides, the program assumes financial assistance to existing innovative enterprises, to refund their expenses for the development of new products, services and operational procedures, for the acquisition of equipment related to technological innovations, for mastering and incorporating new technologies. The program prioritizes assistance to export-oriented small and middle-sized enterprises producing highly competitive goods.
Total amount earmarked for the upgrade and development of innovative activities pursuant to the program in 2012 exceeds 10 million Rub.
In 2011, 17 enterprises and companies of Kursk region were granted more than 2 million Rub. for the development of their businesses.
